You'll wear a series of aligners, 18 to 30 on average, each one slightly different from the last. Every new tray asks your teeth to move a small step, and when it's time you switch to the next one. Because they're removable, you take them out to eat and to brush and floss, so cleaning your teeth stays the same as it's always been.
We see you about every six weeks to check progress, confirm that the teeth are tracking the plan, and make sure the trays still fit. Total treatment time averages 2 to 15 months. Wearing them right, and what it costs
Aligners only work while they're in your mouth. Most plans ask for them to be worn nearly all day, out only for meals, brushing, and cleaning the trays. Skipping hours stretches the timeline and can leave a tray that no longer fits. If you're the kind of person who forgets a retainer in a napkin, tell us early so we can plan around your habits.
